I would recommend not cutting them until you serve them, if possible. Line the pan with foil, take out whole once baked and cooled, wrap tightly in plastic wrap (you can keep them in the foil you lined the pan with, just wrap the whole thing in plastic wrap, foil and all) then refrigerate the night before. You can leave whole during your car trip or else cut into squares, wrap each square in plastic wrap then put in an airtight container.<br /><br />Lemon bare are pretty sturdy so they'll keep well. You just want to make sure you wrap the bars if you cut them ahead of time so the edges don't dry out from air exposure. But well-wrapped, they'll be fine. My crust looks lik...Hey thanks for linking back! <br /><br />My crust looks like that, too, while it's baking. Just let it bake at 300 and it will be fine! I glaze mine while hot,...just be very gentle and don't touch too much or you'll tear at the bars. The heat melts the sugar, too I think.<br /><br />I'm so glad you liked them.
